Art should be a joy to discover, however you browse. We want everyone to be able to explore, shop and fall for a BY ROBYNBLAIR piece, and we’re always working to make that easier.

Working toward
We’re working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the widely used international standard for accessible websites.

What we’ve built in
Built in, not bolted on.

Keyboard friendly
Menus, filters and forms work with the Tab key, and a visible focus ring shows where you are. A “Skip to content” link sits at the top of every page.

Screen reader ready
Pages use clear headings and landmarks, product photos include text descriptions, and our F.A.Q. questions announce whether they’re open or closed.

Color and contrast
Our palette is candy-bright, but we choose text colors to meet WCAG AA contrast. We even deepened our signature rose for small type so it stays easy to read.

Motion you control
If your device is set to reduce motion, our floating gumballs, scrolling tickers and page animations stay still.

Zoom and reflow
Pages reflow for phones and tablets, and stay readable when you zoom in with your browser.

Clear forms
Every field on our contact form has a visible label, and if something’s missing we’ll tell you what to fix.
Where we’re still working
Still sweetening.
No website is ever finished. Here’s what we know needs work, and what’s outside our control.
- A few image links on our homepage don’t have text descriptions for screen readers yet. We’re adding them.
- Some press clippings link to other publications’ websites, which we don’t control.
- Checkout and Shop Pay are provided by Shopify, which maintains its own accessibility standards.
- Photos can’t always capture a piece’s scale and texture. If you’d like a detailed description of any artwork, just ask.
Helpful tools
Tools on your device
Your phone and computer come with accessibility features built in. A few favorites:
Make text bigger
On a computer, press Ctrl and + (Windows) or Command and + (Mac) to zoom in. Use 0 instead of + to reset.
On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings › Accessibility › Display & Text Size › Larger Text. On Android, search your Settings for “Font size”.
Calm the motion
On a Mac, turn on System Settings › Accessibility › Display › Reduce motion. On Windows 11, turn off Settings › Accessibility › Visual effects › Animation effects.
On iPhone or iPad, turn on Settings › Accessibility › Motion › Reduce Motion. On Android, search your Settings for “Remove animations”.
Browse with a keyboard
Press Tab to move forward and Shift + Tab to move back. Enter opens links and buttons, and Space ticks checkboxes. On our F.A.Q. page, press Enter on a question to open its answer.
Use a screen reader
VoiceOver is built into every Mac, iPhone and iPad, Narrator into Windows, and TalkBack into Android phones.
To start VoiceOver on a Mac, press Command + F5. To start Narrator on Windows, press Windows + Ctrl + Enter.
